Botanical Bites & Provisions, LLC, is a small, 10-acre, family-owned farm and business located just outside of Fredericksburg, Virginia in Spotsylvania County. Thomas and Anita Roberson, owners of Botanical Bites and Provisions, grow and market a variety of cut flowers and other products at their farm. VSU Small Farm Outreach Program will host the workshop presented by the Robersons to include instructions and demonstrations for making bouquets that include planning your bouquet, selecting and arranging flowers, bouquet-making supplies you will need, and more.
A comprehensive discussion for preparing your cut flowers for display and sales at a farmers’ market will follow. Learn basics for harvesting, storage and transportation as well as pricing your flowers for the market. A checklist of items you will need for your farmers’ market display will be provided to make your set up go smoothly.
Participants will also be able to tour the farm fields and high tunnel operation.
